Method
We don't design on guesswork
Every design decision is backed by validated heuristics, behavioral data and clear business goals. The process has five stages, and each one exists to answer a specific question before the next one begins.
- Stages
- 5, in a fixed sequence
- Foundation
- Nielsen's heuristics
- Criterion
- Business metric
- Delivery
- Documented at every stage
Principle
Traceable and measurable
Every design decision is traceable. Every deliverable is measurable. We don't work on guesswork, we work with data, validated heuristics and a focus on business results.
Method exists to make decisions auditable. When a project ends, the client should be able to explain not only what was done, but why that option won over the others. Without that, the next decision goes back to being made on opinion, and the investment in consulting leaves no lasting capability behind.
Method
We don't design on guesswork.
Every design decision is backed by validated heuristics, behavioral data and clear business goals.
- Step 01
Diagnosis
We understand the real problem before proposing a solution.
We analyze behavioral data, interview stakeholders and map where the product loses users. This stage ends when the problem is described specifically enough to be refuted.
- Deliverable
- Friction map with prioritized drop-off points
- Guiding question
- What is the problem, and how do we know it's this one?
- Step 02
Strategy
We define the path and what stays out.
We identify the highest-impact opportunities and turn them into a roadmap you can execute. Prioritizing means choosing, and choosing means saying no. Each initiative carries the metric that will judge it.
- Deliverable
- Roadmap prioritized by impact and effort
- Guiding question
- Where do we invest first, and why in that order?
- Step 03
Design
We design with intent, never for decoration.
Wireframes, prototypes and design system. Every element exists to convert, retain or reduce cognitive effort. Anything that serves none of these purposes comes off the screen.
- Deliverable
- Testable prototype and documented design system
- Guiding question
- Does this screen help users finish what they came to do?
- Step 04
Validation
We test before we build.
Moderated sessions with users who match the real profile confirm or refute the hypothesis before any development cost. Finding a mistake in the prototype costs a fraction of finding it in production.
- Deliverable
- Test report with prioritized fixes
- Guiding question
- Does the solution actually solve the problem, or does it only look like it does?
- Step 05
Iteration
We measure impact and refine.
We track metrics after launch and turn the results into the next cycle. What we learn is recorded in the process, not left in the memory of whoever took part.
- Deliverable
- Improvement cycle with before and after metrics
- Guiding question
- Did the number move in the direction we predicted?
Why Heuristik
Why a consultancy and not an agency
The difference is not in the deliverable, it is in the criteria used to get there. These are the six pillars behind every project decision.
- 01
Business results, not just aesthetics
The success criterion is conversion, retention and measurable growth. Design that pleases but doesn't move the numbers is a cost disguised as an investment.
- 02
Transparent, predictable process
You know what you'll get, why and when. No creative black box and no surprise delivery in the final week.
- 03
Grounded in behavioral science
Usability heuristics and analysis of real behavior back our decisions. A market trend is not a design argument.
- 04
Validation before development
Testing a prototype costs a fraction of redoing what has already been built. Reducing risk before spending is the cheapest part of the process.
- 05
Design system in our DNA
Every delivery includes a documented visual system, ready to grow. It's what keeps the product consistent after we leave.
- 06
Focus on impact metrics
Conversion, retention and NPS. Metrics that show up in the results meeting, not in a vanity report.
Next step
The method exists to reduce risk before you spend.
Describe your product's context and we'll get back to you within 2 business days with the stage that makes sense as an entry point.
