Discovery Sprint: find what's holding your product back before you code

Most of the waste in digital products happens before the first line of code: teams build the wrong solution to the wrong problem. The Discovery Sprint reverses that order. In a few weeks we map where your product loses users, why, and what will have the most impact if fixed first.

When it makes sense

Do you recognize any of these signs?

If two or more show up in your context, this service is probably the right starting point.

  • Traffic grows, but conversion doesn't keep up
  • The team debates solutions without agreeing on the problem
  • The roadmap is a list of requests, not hypotheses
  • Users drop off at a specific step and no one can explain why
  • Every interface decision turns into a debate about personal taste

How it works

The Discovery Sprint steps

The process is the same in every project. What changes is the domain, never the decision criteria.

  1. Step 01

    Immersion

We learn the business model, the current metrics and what has already been tried. Without that foundation, any recommendation is just a guess.

  2. Step 02

    Evidence

Interviews, behavioral data analysis and a heuristic audit of the interface. Three independent sources that check each other.

  3. Step 03

    Synthesis

We cross-reference the findings and turn noise into a friction map with a probable cause for each drop-off point.

  4. Step 04

    Prioritization

Each opportunity gets an impact and effort estimate. The result is a roadmap you can execute, not a report that sits in a drawer.

Deliverables

What you get

Scope closed and documented before kickoff. No surprise deliverables and no creative black box.

  • Competitive benchmarking with a read on industry patterns
  • Interviews with stakeholders and real users
  • Usability diagnosis based on Nielsen's 10 heuristics
  • Friction map with prioritized drop-off points
  • Opportunity roadmap ranked by impact and effort

Who it is for

Founders and product teams who already have a live product, see numbers below expectations and need clarity on where to invest before opening new development fronts.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about Discovery Sprint

What people usually ask before closing the scope.

Does the Discovery Sprint work for a product that doesn't exist yet?

Yes, with an adjusted scope. Without a live product there is no behavioral data, so the weight shifts to interviews, benchmarking and analysis of direct competitors. The deliverable becomes a market opportunity map and a defensible MVP scope.

How many interviews do you run?

Between 5 and 8 per relevant profile. From the fifth interview on, patterns start to repeat, which is the classic sign of saturation in qualitative research. Going beyond that usually costs time without producing new findings.

Do I get a report or an action plan?

Both, in that order of importance. The diagnosis exists to support the roadmap, not to replace it. Every recommendation comes with the evidence behind it and the metric that should move if it is applied.
