Services
Four services, one success criterion
Each service solves a specific moment of the product cycle. They can be hired on their own or as a full sequence, from diagnosis to iteration.
- 01
Discovery Sprint
Research, analysis and opportunity mapping. We identify what is holding back growth and conversion before you invest in development.
- Competitive benchmarking with a read on industry patterns
- Interviews with stakeholders and real users
- Usability diagnosis based on Nielsen's 10 heuristics
- 02
Product Design
Wireframes, prototypes and design systems focused on conversion. Every screen is designed with intent: clear hierarchy, intuitive flow, zero noise.
- Low and high fidelity wireframes with the rationale behind each decision
- Interactive prototypes ready for user testing
- Scalable design system with tokens, components and states
- 03
Continuous Validation
Usability testing, metrics and evidence-based iteration. We don't deliver and disappear. We measure impact, learn and adjust.
- Moderated tests with real users and a documented script
- Analysis of conversion, retention and NPS metrics
- Reports with actionable, prioritized recommendations
- 04
Strategic Consulting
Product positioning, roadmap and strategic direction. For founders and PMs who need clarity before scaling.
- Value proposition definition backed by evidence
- Roadmap driven by business outcomes, with a metric for each initiative
- Strategic direction based on impact, including what to stop doing
Method
We don't design on guesswork.
Every design decision is backed by validated heuristics, behavioral data and clear business goals.
- Step 01
Diagnosis
We understand the real problem before proposing a solution.
We analyze behavioral data, interview stakeholders and map where the product loses users. This stage ends when the problem is described specifically enough to be refuted.
- Step 02
Strategy
We define the path and what stays out.
We identify the highest-impact opportunities and turn them into a roadmap you can execute. Prioritizing means choosing, and choosing means saying no. Each initiative carries the metric that will judge it.
- Step 03
Design
We design with intent, never for decoration.
Wireframes, prototypes and design system. Every element exists to convert, retain or reduce cognitive effort. Anything that serves none of these purposes comes off the screen.
- Step 04
Validation
We test before we build.
Moderated sessions with users who match the real profile confirm or refute the hypothesis before any development cost. Finding a mistake in the prototype costs a fraction of finding it in production.
- Step 05
Iteration
We measure impact and refine.
We track metrics after launch and turn the results into the next cycle. What we learn is recorded in the process, not left in the memory of whoever took part.
Why Heuristik
Why a consultancy and not an agency
The difference is not in the deliverable, it is in the criteria used to get there. These are the six pillars behind every project decision.
- 01
Business results, not just aesthetics
The success criterion is conversion, retention and measurable growth. Design that pleases but doesn't move the numbers is a cost disguised as an investment.
- 02
Transparent, predictable process
You know what you'll get, why and when. No creative black box and no surprise delivery in the final week.
- 03
Grounded in behavioral science
Usability heuristics and analysis of real behavior back our decisions. A market trend is not a design argument.
- 04
Validation before development
Testing a prototype costs a fraction of redoing what has already been built. Reducing risk before spending is the cheapest part of the process.
- 05
Design system in our DNA
Every delivery includes a documented visual system, ready to grow. It's what keeps the product consistent after we leave.
- 06
Focus on impact metrics
Conversion, retention and NPS. Metrics that show up in the results meeting, not in a vanity report.
Cases
Projects where the method was applied
Every project starts from a specific business problem. What changes between them is the domain, not the decision criteria.

About
A consultancy, not an agency
Every design decision is traceable. Every deliverable is measurable. We don't work on guesswork, we work with data, validated heuristics and a focus on business results.
Heuristik is led by Jonathan Teixeira, a Product Designer with a degree in Information Technology, 10 years in the IT industry and 6 years working in interface design, product strategy and design systems. The name is no accident: usability heuristics are the method, not window dressing for the pitch.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up most often before the first conversation.
What does a digital product consultancy do?
A digital product consultancy works on the decision before the execution: it understands the business problem, identifies where the product loses users, defines what to prioritize and designs the solution with validation before development. The difference from an agency is the success criterion, which here is a measurable business result, not the delivery of a visual asset.
What's the difference between Heuristik and a design agency?
An agency delivers assets, a consultancy delivers well-founded decisions. We work from usability heuristics, behavioral data and business goals, and every recommendation carries the evidence behind it and the metric that should move. We are not a visual studio or a premium freelancer.
Do you work with clients outside Brazil?
Yes. We work remotely, with clients in Brazil and abroad, in Portuguese or English. Our base is in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, and in-person sessions are possible when arranged in advance.
How long does a project take?
A Discovery Sprint takes 2 to 4 weeks. Product Design ranges from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on scope. Strategic Consulting takes 3 to 6 weeks. Continuous Validation runs in recurring monthly or quarterly cycles. The timeline is set in the scope and doesn't change without agreement.
Can I hire just one stage?
Yes. All four services can be hired independently. The full sequence creates more impact, but the most common entry point is the Discovery Sprint, because it produces the diagnosis that shows whether the next stages make sense.
Do you build the product or only design it?
Both, depending on scope. When the client has an in-house development team, we deliver a design system and documented handoff so the team can build on its own. When they don't, we take on the implementation as well.
How does the first contact work?
Describe your context through the contact form or by email, and you'll hear back within 2 business days. The first conversation is about understanding the problem and telling you honestly whether Heuristik is the right fit for it. When it isn't, we say so.
Next step
Your product is losing users somewhere. The question is where.
Describe the context and we get back to you within 2 business days with an initial read of the problem. If Heuristik is not the right fit for your case, we tell you on the first call.
